Coen, Jr., of Wellsburg, WV, Carolyn (Robert) Mizok, of Wellsburg, WV, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Hazel Coen, of Wellsburg, WV, and Olive McHenry, of Weirton, WV
Affiliations: Being a faithful member of the Church Of Christ of Sunset Ave, Wellsburg, she loved to go to church, worship, sing hymns, and be with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Phyllis loved babies and children. She talked and was delighted when her birds, Tom and Jerry talked to her.

 

Phyllis A. Coen, 86, of Wellsburg, WV, went to be with her LORD AND SAVIOR on Monday, February 14, 2011, at Wheeling Medical Park.

 

She was born on May 16, 1924 in Piney, WV, a daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Noland Miller.

 

Her parents, her brothers, Wilson, Everett, and Hobart Miller, and her sister, Jessie Coen Richards, preceded her in death.  Her first husband, Vince Yost, also preceded her in death.

 

 

She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Donald Clifford Coen, Sr, her children, Hank (Jean) Coen, of Brilliant, OH, Clifford (Linda) Coen, of Buford, GA, Donna Jane (William) Hasting, of Columbus, GA, Donald (Loretta) C. Coen, Jr., of Wellsburg, WV, Carolyn (Robert) Mizok, of Wellsburg, WV, 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Hazel Coen, of Wellsburg, WV, and Olive McHenry, of Weirton, WV

Friends may call at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main St. Wellsburg, WV, on Wednesday, February 16, from 6-8 P.M.  Viewing will also be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 11:00 A.M until time of celebration of her life at 12:00 P.M. at the Church Of Christ, Sunset Ave. Wellsburg, with Tim Henderson, Minister, officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Washington Pike, Wellsburg, WV.
